Celebrating 250 Years of American Exceptionalism: A Homecoming After 8 Months in South Sudan on mission with ONMI

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua the Messiah, Praise God, I am thankful to be back on U.S. soil after spending 8 months on a mission trip in South Sudan, just in time to celebrate the USA's 250th anniversary of independence and its remarkable journey of faith, family, freedom, and American exceptionalism.

Celebrating 250 Years of Independence: Honoring God and American Exceptionalism. Thank God for choosing President Trump to preside over this pivotal event in our life time

I am blessed to be here to celebrate our freedom together. I thank God that His timing is perfect because in 2024, He chose President Trump, our 45th and 47th president, to lead us during this time as we celebrate 250 years of independence. He is the one God selected to prepare the nation to honor HIM after a quarter of a millennium of American exceptionalism, giving glory to God. God has no Equal, he would not share the platform with Demons. Have you watched the three memorial events leading up to July 4th, U.S. Independence Day? Honoring our military, the Memorial for the Veterans, and the civilian parade reflect on American exceptionalism, removing everything deviant and perverted. Every display was intended to show God's hand in guiding our Founding Fathers to establish America. I am so grateful my children did not witness displays of abomination and the perversion of the woke culture that has infiltrated our country for years.

Embracing Freedom: A Journey from Persecution to American Citizenship

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me to celebrate a quarter millennium of a country that miraculously became my home in 2013 when I had the privilege of becoming an American citizen. I fled to America seeking religious freedom from the persecution of Christians and Jews in the Islamic caliphate-controlled Republic of Sudan in the late '80s. At the age of 22, I arrived here with virtually nothing but my Bible. Everything I have and own, I owe to America for shaping who I am today. As a follower of Yeshua, my faith spiritually grew and matured in America. I received my higher education in engineering here, and God blessed me with a family of eight beautiful children in America. God granted me the ministry of Operation Nehemiah Missions to impact the lives and persecuted Church in South Sudan, bringing light and salt through American exceptionalism.

A Journey of Faith and Transformation: Returning Home with Renewed Purpose

Divine transformation in our lives often arrives quietly and sincerely, yet it holds the power to profoundly reshape us. After nearly 8 months abroad in South Sudan, contributing to the vision and goals of Operation Nehemiah, it's time to return home to Lanesborough, Massachusetts, USA. This journey has been rich with growth, challenges, and blessings that have deepened faith, strengthened family ties, and broadened the ministry's reach. As the departure date of June 22 approached I finally boarded the plane and left for the USA , reflecting on this chapter reveals lessons and hopes that will guide future steps. Yeshua sas i the son set you free you are free indeed. The exact thought is rooted in Psalm 37:5, which says, "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass," and Proverbs 16:3, which adds, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

Need Your e-mail address and WhatsApp contact to update you in real time from mission field in South Sudan

Here in the USA, my absence from the ONMI main office while serving God's people in South Sudan made it difficult to communicate regularly with you as I should have. Despite limited communication, you have continued to support and fund ONMI's mission by faith. All the monetary support you have sent to the ONMI office to sustain the mission work has been fully received and accounted for. I regret that I was unable to send you the annual financial statement for your tax deduction on time last year, but I hope your internal records and bank statements will assist with your filing at the end of 2025. Next year, we will do it differently. Therefore, I request that when you receive this letter, you send me your email and WhatsApp contact in your next correspondence so that I can send you bi-weekly mission reports directly from South Sudan the next time I return to the missions field.

Transformative Mission Experience in South Sudan

Arriving on October 27, 2025, the mission was clear: to serve, grow, and build community. The months that followed brought significant changes both personally and in ministry work. For the first time in my 22 years running ONMI missions inside South Sudan, I spent 8 months on the ground with Mission staff and family.

Strengthening Vision and Partnership Through Ground Presence

In the past, we typically spent 2 weeks to a maximum of 3 months on the ground in South Sudan, leaving most of the groundwork to the field staff. However, it was challenging to assess progress when the visionary was not consistently present with the field team. This was the primary reason I needed to dedicate significant time on the ground to personally oversee the implementation of ONMI's Vision and Goal. One of the most significant changes has been in marriage. Spending time with Sarah has strengthened our relationship both physically and spiritually. Marriage is a journey, and this time together has laid a foundation for a stronger partnership, even as there is more room for growth.

Cultivating Community Through Faith and Hospitality

On the ministry front, the focus has been on practical, sustainable living and community engagement. Opening our home for fellowship created a space where neighbors and friends could gather, share, and support one another. Hospitality became a living example of faith in action, not just words.

Living Faith Through Daily Actions

The concept of sustainability was not just preached but practiced. Living within our means and using the vast farmland to grow local crops showed the power of example. Instead of relying on outside workers, engaging local farmers built relationships and strengthened the community network. This approach reduced administrative staff to the essentials, focusing resources where they mattered most. This

Completing four dormitories for BNPA students was a significant achievement. These facilities offer safe, supportive housing for young learners, allowing them to concentrate on education and personal development. Food production, synchronized with seasonal rain patterns, ensured that the ministry remained connected to the realities of the land and its governing seasons. We are grateful to see Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute located at Messiah Ambassador's House in Kerepi Mutual, which continues to train students in hands-on experience across all levels of technical skills, providing them with opportunities to create jobs and live with dignity in their own country. We thank God for ONMI's agricultural department; this year, we opened at least 30 acres for organic agriculture and agroforestry. Gospel evangelism is thriving, thanks to NTC 97.3 FM Gospel radio, which broadcasts over South Sudan and northern Uganda, reaching 80 miles around. We thank God for the Nehemiah Field Clinic located at This Messiah Ambassador House in Kerepi Mutual meets the needs of those with medical conditions without requiring travel across the border. We thank God for the fact that we are witnessing the concept of sustainability becoming a reality. Our staff have embraced the vision of sustainable living, thanks to your support in providing them with the tools to sustain themselves.

Celebrating Spiritual Growth and New Beginnings

One of the most joyful moments was baptizing 32 people—men, women, and children—who committed their lives to faith. This act fulfilled the call of Matthew 28:18-20, for he Great Commission bringing new members into the Kingdom of God. It was a powerful reminder that the work done here has eternal significance.

Preparing for the Next Chapter

The insights gained regarding sustainable living, community building, and strengthening relationships will persist in shaping everyday life. The ministry's emphasis on practical faith and hospitality will stay at the forefront, motivating others to express their beliefs through concrete actions.

I will remain in the USA for another four months and might return to South Sudan in October 2026.

Returning home is not just a physical move but a spiritual and emotional transition. The experiences gained here will shape the future in Lanesborough. Reconnecting with family, friends, and co-laborers in the Great Commission will bring new opportunities to serve and grow.

Funding for the ONMI mission continues, with our primary objective for the latter half of 2026 being the improvement of ONMI's infrastructure in South Sudan to support sustainability. As a result, we have allocated a budget of $150,000 for the next four months. The funds will be directed towards agriculture, education, medical evangelism, radio broadcasting, and water projects.

Therefore, Please join us in this effort by your prayers and financial support as you always have.
