Operation Nehemiah Missions, South Sudan, 3rd Quarter Report, 2026

William Levi, Founder & CEO
Shalom to you in the name above all names, Yeshua the Messiah.
I pray that this mission report finds you well, strong in faith, and encouraged in the Lord. I am writing with gratitude, joy, and urgency after my most recent trip to South Sudan. This was a two-week journey from the last week of August through the first two weeks of September, following eight months of ministry on the ground from October 2025 to June 2026.
This return trip had a clear purpose. I went back to encourage the work of Operation Nehemiah Missions in South Sudan, strengthen the mission base, oversee key projects, and return to the United States with a clear report for those who have stood with us in prayer and financial support.
The work has moved forward because the hand of God has been upon it. We have also seen how the Lord uses faithful people to build what He has entrusted to His servants. Your support has helped keep the work alive, even when I was not physically present in the United States. For that, I give thanks to God and to each person who has prayed, given, encouraged, and believed with us.

A brief report from the South Sudan mission field
This trip was short, but it was full. The days were used to visit ministry sites, meet with leaders, check on construction progress, encourage believers, and review the needs that must still be completed before the end of the year.
The mission work in South Sudan is not one single project. It is a connected effort that touches education, worship, discipleship, agriculture, and community life. Each part strengthens the other.
A school gives children a place to learn. A congregation gives families a place to worship and grow. A farm helps provide food, training, and long-term stability. Discipleship gives new believers a strong foundation. Construction gives the mission a physical place to gather, teach, and serve.
This is why the work must continue with care. We are not only building structures. We are building lives, families, and a witness for Yeshua in South Sudan.
What God has helped us complete
During this most recent period of ministry, we saw real progress. Some projects that once existed only as a burden in prayer are now visible on the ground.
Four dormitories at Bethlehem Nursery and Primary Academy
One major area of progress was the completion of four dormitories connected to Bethlehem Nursery and Primary Academy. This is a great blessing for the school and the children it serves.
Dormitories are more than buildings. They provide a place of safety, rest, and order. For students who travel from a distance or need a stable learning environment, dormitory space can make a major difference. It supports the school’s mission to care for children not only during class time, but throughout their daily lives.
The completion of these dormitories is one of the strongest signs that the work is moving forward. It reflects the faithfulness of God and the sacrifice of those who have supported the mission.
Construction at Nile Beth Israel Messianic Kehillah
Another important project is the construction of the Nile Beth Israel Messianic Kehillah at Aswa Bridge, located on the Juba-Nimule Highway.
This location matters. The Juba-Nimule Highway is a major route, and Aswa Bridge is a strategic place for ministry, fellowship, and witness. A Messianic Kehillah in this area can serve believers, reach families, and become a place where people gather to hear the Word of God and grow in faith.

The construction work is a clear step toward establishing a lasting spiritual home in that community. We thank the Lord for every wall raised, every material provided, and every hand that has helped carry the work forward.
Thirty-two believers discipled and baptized
One of the greatest joys of the mission journey was seeing 32 believers discipled and baptized.
This is the heart of the work. Buildings matter. Schools matter. Farms matter. Yet the greatest treasure is seeing people come to faith, grow in obedience, and publicly identify with Yeshua.
Baptism is a powerful sign of new life. Discipleship is the steady work that follows. We do not want people only to make a confession and then stand alone. We want them rooted in the Scriptures, strengthened in prayer, connected to the fellowship of believers, and prepared to walk faithfully with the Lord.
These 32 believers represent lives touched by God. They also represent families, communities, and future leaders who can carry the message of the Kingdom forward.
The mission is growing through worship and discipleship
During this season, we also opened two churches. One is at Beth Israel Farmland, and the other is at Aswa Bridge.
These fellowships are important for the long-term health of the mission. When people come to faith, they need a place to gather. They need teaching, worship, pastoral care, and fellowship. They need mature believers who can walk beside them.
The new congregations also help connect the practical work of the mission with the spiritual purpose behind it. The farm is not only a place to plant crops. It is also a place where people can gather, pray, learn, and see the goodness of God in daily life. The Aswa Bridge congregation gives the growing community there a spiritual foundation.
The Lord is opening doors. Our prayer is that these congregations will become stable, fruitful, and faithful to the Word.
The farmland is becoming a place of provision
The Beth Israel Farmland also saw growth through organic agriculture and agroforestry. This work has expanded as part of the wider mission vision.
The farmland includes about 100 acres, with crops and trees such as:
Mangoes
Oranges
Sorghum
Groundnuts
Cassava
Rice
Bananas
Sunflowers
Teak
Eucalyptus
This land is a major resource. With proper care, it can help feed students, support local families, train workers, and create a measure of sustainability for the mission.
Agriculture is also a form of discipleship when it is done with faith, patience, and stewardship. Planting trees teaches people to think beyond the present season. Growing food teaches responsibility and dependence on God. Caring for land teaches humility, because fruit does not come without labor, rain, protection, and time.
Beth Israel Farmland is one of the important foundations for the future of Operation Nehemiah Missions in South Sudan.

Why the Fireline must be completed before the dry season
One of the most urgent needs before the end of the year is the creation of a Fireline around Beth Israel Farmland.
This is not a small concern. In the dry season, fire can move quickly through grass, brush, crops, and young trees. Without protection, one fire could destroy years of planting, labor, and investment.
The fireline will help protect the 100 acres of farmland and the crops and trees growing there. This includes food crops, fruit trees, and timber trees. The work must be done before fire becomes a serious threat.

This project is deeply practical, but it is also deeply spiritual. To plant without protecting what has been planted would be unwise. The Lord has helped us establish this land for a purpose, and we must do our part to guard it.
The Fireline will help protect:
Food for students and families
Fruit trees that need years to mature
Trees planted for long-term value
The labor already invested by workers
The future agricultural support of the mission
This is one of the key unfinished projects we are asking the Lord to help us complete before the year ends.
Bethlehem Secondary School is the next major step
The second urgent need is the completion of the Bethlehem Secondary School building.
This building is needed so secondary students can begin classes in February 2027. The school must be ready to receive them, teach them, and give them a proper learning environment.
Education is one of the strongest parts of the mission vision. Children who receive a good education have a better chance to serve their families, their communities, and the Kingdom of God. A secondary school building is not only a construction project. It is an investment in young lives.
We are also preparing for 32 students who need to graduate and move forward. These students represent years of teaching, care, and sacrifice. We do not want them to reach this stage and then face a closed door because the next building is unfinished.
Bethlehem Secondary School is needed for continuity. The children who began learning in the lower grades must have a path forward. If that path is broken, many can lose momentum. If the path is strengthened, they can continue to grow in knowledge, character, and faith.

The Operation Nehemiah Missions South Sudan Report and 2026 Vision is both a testimony and a call to continue. We are grateful for what has been done, and we are sober about what remains.
We have seen the hand of God
Through all of this, one truth stands above the rest. We have seen the hand of God.
The work has not been easy. Ministry in South Sudan requires faith, endurance, travel, planning, and constant prayer. Construction has its challenges. Farming has its challenges. Discipleship requires patience. Schools require ongoing care. Yet the Lord has continued to open doors.
He has used your prayers. He has used your encouragement from faithful friends and supporters. He has used local workers and leaders on the ground. He has carried the work forward even when resources were stretched.
That is why this report is also a thanksgiving. We thank God for you. We thank God for every person who has stood with Operation Nehemiah Missions and helped keep the mission moving.
How to pray with us for the rest of 2026
As we approach the end of the year, we ask you to pray with us in a focused way.
Please pray for:
Safeguarding Beth Israel Farmland from fire, theft, disease, and damage
Ensuring the completion of the Fireline around the entire 100 acres
Providing strength and wisdom to the workers on site
Finishing the Bethlehem Secondary School building
Preparing for students to start in February 2027
The 32 students getting ready to graduate and move forward
The 32 newly baptized believers to strengthen their faith in Yeshua
The establishment of two new congregations at Beth Israel Farmland and Aswa Bridge
Maintaining unity, faithfulness, and clarity for the mission leadership
We are asking the Lord to bring ONMI’s 2026 mission work to a successful completion. The needs are real, but so is the faithfulness of God.
A final word of thanks and vision
To everyone who has supported this work, thank you. Your prayers and giving have not been in vain. The dormitories stand as a witness. The new believers stand as a witness. The congregations stand as a witness. The farmland stands as a witness. The school vision stands as a witness.
We still have work to finish before the year ends. The Fireline must be completed to protect the farmland. Bethlehem Secondary School must be completed to receive students in February 2027. The graduating students must be supported as they take the next step.
Please continue to stand with us in prayer, faith, and support as the Lord leads. May Yeshua receive the glory from every life changed, every child taught, every believer discipled, every field planted, and every building completed.
Your support for this initiative is greatly appreciated.
Your faith, prayers, and support are crucial to meeting all our ministry-related needs. We confidently aim to raise $150,000 from October to December 2026. So far, we have received $72500, leaving a balance of $77500. An immediate need of $25,000 is identified. Thank you for your previous support. Proverbs 19:17 states, "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again" (KJV) BibleGateway.com. This verse emphasizes that acts of charity are not merely social or moral duties but spiritual investments. When a person helps the needy, it is as if they are giving directly to God, who values compassion and promises to reward generosity.
Shalom, and thank you for standing with Operation Nehemiah Missions.
