Shalom to you brothers and sisters in Yeshua. It is of utmost importance today to direct our attention and concern towards Israel and the Jewish people. In days and current times, we have been witnessing a disturbing rise in antisemitism that has not only taken hold in the United States but has also spread across the Western world and indeed the globe at large. This resurgence of hatred and prejudice against the Jewish community is alarming and cannot be ignored. It is a spiritual battle because God used Israel to illuminate the world with truth, love, justice, righteousness, forgiveness, and redemption in a realm filled with sin, death, and eternal suffering. By reading both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, you will recognize this truth. Remember how far we have all descended into the abyss of sin and darkness in Without God's call to Abraham, without Yeshua, and without the Holy Spirit, the entire world would have been in complete chaos.

Many people often ask why I wear a menorah lapel pin even though I identify as a Christian, including some European missionaries from the EU whom I met at an event during my recent stay in South Sudan. I explain that I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Yeshua, for it is the power of God's salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jews and then to the gentiles. It is not a capital sin for a Jew to identify as a Christian, and the menorah is both Jewish and biblical. It is a seven-branched lampstand made of pure gold, as described in Exodus 25:31-40. Wearing it is a way to honor the miracle of Hanukkah, preserve Jewish traditions, and inspire reflection on the power of light, hope, and standing up for truth. As Yeshua taught, we must be a light to the world and a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. While the Cross symbolizes Yeshua's suffering, the menorah serves to illuminate the hearts of mankind towards understanding the Love of Elohim God, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit and helps us differentiate truth from falsehood, righteousness from sin, God from evil, and repentance and forgiveness in Yeshua.

As we observe the current climate, we see a gathering storm on the horizon, infiltration of US political system by Islamic movement that has entrenched themselves in the Democratic party system morphing themselves as DSA, socialist, communist as Savior of the marginalized Americans oppressed by Judeo- Christian civilization's capitalistic system under the grip of Israel and the Jews)

—an ominous cloud of serious persecution of the Jews that is manifesting in ways that we have not seen before in our lifetimes. Never in my life felt concern having a Jewish surname until now. This situation is deeply troubling and calls for a collective response from all those who stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters. The historical context of antisemitism reminds us that it often escalates rapidly, and we must remain vigilant and proactive in our support for the Jewish community during these challenging times.

The Role of Christians to shine as the light of Menorah in the darkness and Stand Against Evil.

It is crucial for Christians to realize that we should not be under any illusions about being protected from the forces of evil that disguise themselves as righteous anger or social justice against Israel and the Jews. What is happening to the Jews will ultimately happen to Christians in America. Mark my words. The truth is that those who align with hatred and indifference do not discriminate; they will target anyone who opposes their beliefs, including Christians. Therefore, it is our responsibility as followers of Yeshua to actively combat antisemitism and to support the rights and dignity of the Jewish people.

As we proceed, we should recall the teachings of Yeshua, who highlighted the importance of love, compassion, and justice. His message urges us to advocate for the marginalized and oppressed. Supporting the Jewish community allows us to meet our moral and spiritual duties while contributing to a more just and peaceful society for all. Promoting dialogue, education, and understanding among various faith communities is crucial in combating ignorance and hatred.

From a biblical and theological perspective, Israel’s role in world history is deeply rooted in God’s covenant promises and mission to bless all nations. The nation of Israel, descended from Jacob (Israel), was chosen by God to be His special treasure and to serve as a conduit of His revelation and salvation to mankind in the entire globe . God laid out creation narratives, shine the light of Truth into the darkness of this world controlled by Devil

  If the pundits, the fake media, the Islamic terrorists, Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Useful Idiots int he western world, the DSA, the communists, CAIR (Muslims Brotherhood) says all these about the Jews and Israel Don’t believe them.

Biblical Foundations:

• God Elohim communicates the promise

• Covenant with Abraham: God assured Abraham, “In you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3), designating Israel as the conduit for blessings to reach the nations 

• Mission to Be a Light: Prophets such as Isaiah urged Israel to be “a light for the nations” (Isaiah 49:6) and to extend God’s salvation to the ends of the earth Spiritual Riches: Paul enumerates Israel’s spiritual blessings in Romans 9:4–5, which include adoption, glory, covenants, the law, service to God, and the promises. Jesus Himself declared that salvation is “of the Jews” (John 4:22).

The Messiah and Israel’s Role: Israel’s mission reached its peak with the arrival of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, a Jew born under the law. Through Him, the gospel of grace is extended to all humanity, fulfilling Israel’s prophetic mission. The New Testament reveals that although Jesus’ ministry started with Israel, it broadened to embrace Gentiles, bringing Jews and Gentiles together in Christ (Ephesians 2:14–16) 

Theological Significance

• Special Treasure: In Deuteronomy 7:6, Israel is described as “a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”

• Firstborn of God: Exodus 4:22 refers to Israel as God’s “firstborn son,” highlighting His distinct relationship with the nation.

• Land Promise: God’s covenant with Abraham includes the land of Canaan. Although the New Testament focuses on the spiritual inclusion of Gentiles, the promise of land remains a testament to God’s faithfulness to His people.

In Isaiah 49:6 and other passages, Israel is confidently described as a Light to the Nations. David Ben Gurion embraced this vision when he selected the menorah as the emblem of the State of Israel. In modern times, Benjamin Netanyahu echoed this sentiment in a 2010 speech, proudly portraying his nation as a proud people with a magnificent country, always striving to be a Light unto the Nations.

The menorah represents God's divine light, presence, and spiritual guidance, symbolizing completeness, holiness, and the covenant relationship with His people. Historical and Biblical Context

The menorah is a seven-branched lampstand made of pure gold, described in Exodus 25:31-40, and placed in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple. God commanded Moses to construct it with intricate details, including almond-shaped cups, buds, and blossoms, all hammered from a single piece of gold, symbolizing unity and divine perfection. The Importance of the Menorah in the New Testament

The message to the Church in Ephesus confidently affirms that God revealed to John the Revelator the messages intended for the seven churches in Asia Minor. Each of the seven branches of the Menorah powerfully represents a church, acting as a lampstand that highlights their dedication, perseverance, and rejection of wickedness. These churches have rigorously tested false apostles and faced hardships without losing strength. However, they are strongly admonished for abandoning their initial love and are urged to repent and return to their former deeds. Failing to do so will decisively result in the removal of their lampstand.

Symbolic Meaning of the Seven Branches

The seven branches of the menorah are widely interpreted as representing completeness, spiritual perfection, and the seven days of creation, culminating in the Sabbath. In biblical numerology, the number seven often conveys holiness and fullness. The menorah prefigures Christ, the Light of the World, who dispels spiritual darkness (John 8:12) and embodies the ultimate divine presence.

Symbol of God's Presence and Guidance

Maintained by priests, the menorah represents the believers’ duty to keep their spiritual light shining, symbolizing readiness, worship, and covenant faithfulness. It embodies divine wisdom, guidance, and eternal truth, serving as a reminder of God’s provision and the spiritual enlightenment available to His people. The seven branches are sometimes linked to the sevenfold Spirit of God (Isaiah 11:2), which includes wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, fear of the Lord, and delight in His ways.

Broader Theological Implications

Beyond its physical function, the menorah serves as a living symbol of faith, hope, and divine light. It links the historical experiences of the Israelites with God's continual guidance and alludes to the Messiah and eternal life. Its design, perpetual light, and prophetic references emphasize its role as a metaphor for spiritual enlightenment, covenant faithfulness, and the triumph of light over darkness.

Jesus Who Emerged from the Roots

What does this truly signify, especially when, in the eyes of much of the world, Israel is viewed as a pariah, a genocidal colonialist, and a nation some believe shouldn't exist? Similar to the Messiah who emerged from the roots of Israel, it is despised and rejected by mankind (Isaiah 53:3). Yet, as mentioned earlier, light emerges from this darkness. This is because, in relation to the Messiah, the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5). Most importantly, shining light into darkness tends to reveal much that has been hidden. Let’s apply this principle to our modern world.

The events of the past two years have completely transformed our perspective on the world. Although this has seemingly led to a significant rise in antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel, it has also opened many eyes to the workings of our world. By illuminating the darkness, we have come to understand the following: the frailty of most Western leaders (particularly those leaning left), the malevolence of Islamists, the necessity for strength and perseverance to counter this evil, the love Israel shows for its own people (contrasted with the disdain Hamas shows for its people), the moral bankruptcy of the Marxist “woke” culture, the duplicity and hypocrisy of many politicians, the corruption of institutions once held in high regard (such as the U.N., the BBC, and much of the mainstream media, along with many NGOs), the true intentions of Iran and Qatar, and the sobering reality that no one is immune to the virus of antisemitism.

Gathering Darkness

This final point is the most heart-wrenching. Apart from those who have consciously embraced the darkness of militant Islamism and Marxism, the 'useful idiots', who make up the majority of the shouting crowds, whether on the streets or at universities, are heading nowhere. Most of them have no real understanding of reality or the true story of the Middle East, having blindly accepted the false narrative created by the Soviets in the 1960s, depicting a struggling, persecuted "Palestinian" nation.

In Summary: Israel's contribution to the world transcends politics and culture, encompassing spiritual and salvation for the entire mankind. Through the covenant, the law, the prophets, and ultimately the Messiah, Israel was given the mission to reveal God's character, justice, and salvation. This role is essential to God's redemptive plan, which reaches beyond Israel to all nations, with Israel serving as the first fruits and foundation of that mission.

Israel is a light to the Nations, but perhaps more than it realizes. Antisemitism is bad for the perpetrators as well as the Jewish victims, but if it leads to a realization that something is wrong, then what we have here is a divine nudge. Perhaps we are on the verge of a great revival, now that evil has shown its true face and people are shaken into clarity? It is time for Christians to pray, perhaps even for themselves as antisemitism is more prevalent than most people realize.
